Pro Privacy Policy Generator

Generate a highly customized, attorney-grade Privacy Policy with Live Preview.

A starting draft for the privacy page your site needs

Almost every website that uses analytics, ads, sign-up forms or a payment provider is expected to publish a privacy policy. Writing one from scratch is slow, and copying a stranger's policy rarely matches what your site actually does. This generator asks a handful of questions about your data practices and assembles a structured policy that updates in a live preview as you answer.

Creating your policy

  1. Under 1. General Details, type your Company/Website Name, Website URL and Contact Email. Until you do, bracketed placeholders appear in the text.
  2. In 2. Data Collection, switch on what you gather: email addresses, first and last names, phone numbers, location and IP address, or payment information.
  3. In 3. Third-Party Integrations, toggle Google Analytics, AdSense / Advertising and payment processors such as Stripe.
  4. In 4. Compliance & Legal, choose GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California) and COPPA (Under 13).
  5. Watch the Live Document Preview on the right. Use the copy icon to copy the text, or the HTML button to download privacy_policy.html.

How your choices change the document

  • The data toggles build the bulleted list of information collected; switching all of them off produces a statement that no personal information is collected.
  • Each integration adds a short paragraph to a Third-Party Services section, and the section disappears if none are selected.
  • GDPR adds a list of data-subject rights such as access, rectification, erasure and portability. CCPA adds a section on California consumer rights.
  • COPPA changes the children's section from an under-18 statement to an under-13 statement.

Who might use it

  • A blogger adding Google Analytics and display ads who needs a policy page before applying to an ad network.
  • A small shop owner taking payments through Stripe.
  • A developer launching a side project with a contact form.
  • A freelancer preparing a first draft to review with a lawyer.

Read this before publishing

The output is generic template text, not legal advice, and it does not know your real practices. Check every sentence against what your site does, such as how long you keep data, whether you use remarketing, and where your servers are. Section numbers are fixed, so turning off GDPR or CCPA leaves a gap in the numbering that you should tidy by hand. The Stripe sentence states that you will not store card details, which is only correct if that is true for you. The effective date is set to the day you generate the text. Everything is generated in your browser as you type.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the generated policy legally binding or legal advice?
No. It is a template draft based on your selections, not legal advice. Laws differ by country and business type, so have the final text reviewed by a qualified professional, especially if you handle sensitive data or operate in several regions.
Can I use this for a site with Google AdSense?
You can tick AdSense / Advertising to add a generic advertising-partner paragraph. Ad networks have their own disclosure requirements about cookies and personalised ads, so read those rules and add any extra wording they require.
How do I save the finished policy?
Use the copy icon above the preview to copy the plain text, or click the HTML button to download privacy_policy.html, a simple standalone page you can upload or paste into your CMS.
Why are my section numbers out of order?
Headings are numbered in a fixed order. If you switch off GDPR or CCPA or every third-party service, that section drops out and leaves a gap. Renumber the headings manually after copying the text.
Does it set the effective date automatically?
Yes, the effective date uses the current date whenever the preview refreshes. If you publish later or revise the policy, update that date by hand so it matches the actual publication or revision date.
