Invisible Text Generator

Generate invisible blank spaces and non-breaking characters for social media, usernames, or formatting

[ Invisible characters are here ]

Create blank text you can copy and paste

Sometimes you need a message, name or field that looks empty. Apps often reject a normal space, but they may accept a special Unicode character that displays as nothing. This generator produces strings of such characters, lets you choose how many, and puts the result on your clipboard.

How to generate it

  1. In Select Invisible Type, click one of the four buttons: Zero Width, Word Joiner, Vowel Separator or Hangul Filler. The result box fills immediately.
  2. Set Generated Length to the number of characters you want. The default is 10, and an invalid value falls back to 1.
  3. Alternatively, press Generate Blank Text, which produces the Hangul Filler version at your chosen length.
  4. Click Copy Invisible Text. The label above the box tells you which type you generated.

The box shows a placeholder line until you generate something, and it will look empty afterwards, which is expected because the characters do not render.

The four character types

  • Zero Width Space (U+200B) is often used to allow a line break without showing a gap.
  • Word Joiner (U+2060) is a zero-width character that prevents a line break.
  • Mongolian Vowel Separator (U+180E) is an older invisible character; newer Unicode versions no longer treat it as a space, so support varies.
  • Hangul Filler (U+3164) is a Korean filler letter that shows as a blank of visible width, and it is the one most often accepted where a name cannot be empty.

Common uses

  • Posting a chat message or comment that appears blank.
  • Adding vertical or horizontal spacing in a social media bio.
  • Filling a form field that refuses spaces while you test how it handles unusual input.
  • Keeping two words from breaking across lines using the word joiner.

Limitations

  • Platforms decide what to accept. Many services trim, strip or reject these characters, so try each type if one fails.
  • Zero-width characters take up no visible room, but they still count toward character limits.
  • Do not use invisible characters to mislead people or bypass moderation rules on a service.
  • Copying relies on your browser's clipboard permission; if it is blocked, select the box contents manually.

Everything is produced in your browser with JavaScript from the fixed character codes listed above.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which invisible character works best for empty names or messages?
The Hangul Filler is the one most often accepted as an empty-looking name or message, and it is what the Generate Blank Text button uses. Zero Width Space is often trimmed by apps, so results vary by platform.
Why does the result box look empty?
The characters have no visible shape, so a successful result looks blank. The label above it changes to show the type you generated, and the Copy Invisible Text button copies the exact characters.
How many characters can I generate?
You enter the number in the Generated Length field, which starts at 10. There is no stated maximum in the tool, but very large values may slow your browser and platforms will apply their own limits.
Do invisible characters count toward character limits?
Yes. Even though nothing is displayed, each invisible character counts as one character on most services. A bio or post containing fifty invisible characters uses fifty characters of its allowance, so keep the length modest.
Why was my invisible text removed after pasting?
Many apps normalize or strip zero-width and unusual whitespace to prevent spoofing. Try a different type, such as Hangul Filler instead of Zero Width, though some services will not accept any of them.
