Paragraph-sized filler for layout testing
A page looks very different with real paragraphs than with a single heading and an empty box. Web designers, theme builders and app developers need text blocks to check line length, spacing and wrapping. This generator produces several paragraphs at once, separated by blank lines, so you can paste them into a mock-up or template.
Generating paragraphs
- In Number of Paragraphs, enter how many blocks you want. The field starts at 3.
- Choose a Paragraph Length: Short, Medium (selected by default) or Long.
- Click Create Paragraphs.
- Read the text in the Generated Content box and press Copy All to copy it.
What you actually get
The words come from the classic Lorem Ipsum passage, so the text is Latin filler rather than natural English prose, and it is not shuffled. Each paragraph is built from the passage's sentences in order. The length setting decides how many: Short uses 3 sentences, Medium uses 5 and Long uses 8. The dropdown labels mention ranges such as 4 to 6 sentences, but the amounts are fixed at those three numbers. When a paragraph needs more than five sentences, the passage starts over, so a Long paragraph repeats its first three sentences at the end. Every paragraph in a single run is identical.
Practical uses
- Stress-testing a blog theme with several long paragraphs in a row.
- Checking how a card, tooltip or accordion handles a short block versus a long one.
- Filling a PDF or print layout to review margins and page breaks.
- Creating body copy for screenshots and slide mock-ups.
Tips and limitations
- Use a whole number above zero. An empty or non-numeric value produces no text.
- Because paragraphs repeat, edit or vary a few by hand if the identical blocks make a design look artificial.
- Pick Short for teaser lists and Long for article bodies, so you see the extremes your layout will meet.
- The output is plain text with blank lines; add your own HTML tags if you need paragraph markup.
- Remember to replace every placeholder block with real copy before a site goes live.
The text is put together in your browser by JavaScript, so it appears immediately and needs no page reload.
